About the Course
Course Description: 

The aim of this course is to gain an understanding of how to structure and implement a group indoor cycling class to music.

By the end of this course the learner will be familiar with the fundamentals of indoor cycle bikes and also understand how to structure a cycling class.
Learners will be able to utilise choreography and training systems to suit music and understand how to ensure safety in the spin room.

Learning Outcomes: 

Learners will:

  • Gain an understanding of how to set up a class
  • Learn how to ensure participants are correctly set up
  • Learn about the structure of Studio Cycling Sessions
  • Understand the various Training Systems that can be used
  • Gain an understanding of choreography, beats, phrase and block

Learners will have to prepare and deliver their own class. This class will be delivered to their peers for assessment.
They must include:
• Speed changes
• Resistance changes
• Progressions
• Verbal safety instructions
• They must plan their own choreography to their own music choice. Their class needs to include at least 2 different training modes as well as verbal cueing of bike set up, hand positions and body positions.
