NUTRITION COACH

Description:

The objective of this course is to train coachs in sports nutrition.
We start with the basics of nutrition in Module 1: nutrients and their different functions in the body. It also addresses issues related to some nutrients (cholesterol, diabetes, gluten and lactose intolerances, vitamin and mineral deficiencies). The participant is therefore able to analyze a blood test and list various sources for nutrients.
Module 2 focuses on sports dietetics : basic metabolism rate, total energy expenditure and activities coefficient are studied in order to teach the participant to develop a food rebalancing from A to Z.
The participant will also learn how to calculate body fat mass, how to distribute macronutrients according to their future customers objectives and the best food sources according to the current food industry (pesticides, endocrine disruptors, ecological footprint, organic food).
The theme of the 3rd and last module of the course is: food and sports supplements. The participant will therefore be able to list them, differentiate them and know when to advise his client to use them while respecting the dosage (powdered proteins, amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals).
Throughout the course, which is spread over 4 months, the participant is asked to send various assignments and homework's (counting for the final note) combining concepts seen during the course and personal researches.
The final exam is a QCM of 50 questions. A minimum score of 70% is required to obtain the nutrition coach certification and designation.

Learning Outcomes:

What are the learning outcomes...what will the participant gain through attending this course?
 
Student's will be able to master the various nutrients, Macros and Micronutrients, he will be able to read and analyze a blood test (Cholesterol, Triglycerides, fasting glucose, vitamins and minerals) he will also be able to find the sources , ie food sources.
Student's will also be able to rebalance food, at the end of the course the student will guide his client with food supplements such as BCAA, Protein, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
