Title:

DTS Squat Analysis Coach

Description:

The Squat Analysis Coach course is a fundamentals focused continuing education course for personal trainers. As we like to say at DTS Fitness Education - advanced skills are the basics mastered. The squat movement is a key primal pattern and a foundational resistance training exercise. Even more importantly is the role that the squat movement plays in the activities of daily living such as sitting and standing up from a chair or toilet.

The purpose of the Squat Analysis Coach course is to teach personal trainers how to identify, and fix the 6 most common errors using the DTS 7-Step System. The 7-Step system incorporates the following elements:

Step #1: Assessment. Assessing the front, side, and rear view of the squat
Step #2: Mobility. Improving the movement of the key joints involved in the squat movement. The ankles, knees, and hips.
Step #3: Stability. Improving control of the key joints and muscles involved in the squat movement. The ankles, lower leg muscles, knees, hips, glutes and core.
Step #4: Groove the pattern. Neuromuscular reeducation of the movement pattern.
Step #5: Add Load. Nervous system ramping due to adding an external load.
Step #6: Reassess. Did the protocols used improve the assessment outcomes.
Step #7: Homework. Client engagement and empowering them to participate in the process.
