EREPS - #LETsBEACTIVE register event
English

It’s EuropeActive’s (EREPS' parent organisation) mission to get more people, more active, more often. EREPS is a big part of this mission by being the keeper of a public register of exercise professionals in Europe, working with people every day to motivate them to do just that: be active. But there’s more: we also host events, bring together key stakeholders and have also taken up the task to gather as much information as possible on fitness events that are already taking place throughout Europe.

Why, you ask? Great question.
We want to make sure Europeans have a central point to find out where they can "take a bite" of fitness, try out new group classes, get a tour of the facility and so on, thus making it easier for them to start or fully embrace an active and healthy lifestyle. The event information is being collected by EuropeActive and presented to the European Commission in a report to show the potential of the fitness sector. It will also be used as a basis for a Europe-wide campaign in 2020 with the ultimate aim of getting 80 million fitness users by 2025: more people, more active!

Representing the sector
This data helps us to further represent the fitness industry in Brussels. We want to maintain our established partnership with the EU Institutions and Civil Society Organisations as a recognised industry representative. As the sector’s umbrella organisation, we will continue to influence and contribute to the European policy agenda in the promotion of health enhancing physical activity.

Help us to reach our goal
So, are you involved in any fitness event for this year? An “open house” perhaps – or a week full of new classes to try out? Do you have a ‘bring a friend’ day planned? Whatever the occasion, make sure you join our campaign. You will be able to boost your event via social media exposure, it will be more likely that you’ll attract new fitness members and/or increase member retention.

How to participate
You can simply list the fitness events you might be participating and/or organizing on the EuropeActive website by clicking on the link below. From that point on, you can use the hashtag #LetsBEACTIVE on all social media content/website. We’ll do the rest and keep you updated via our social media channels and blog.
